The Barnsley
Healthy School Scheme offers advice and support to schools
to develop a whole school community approach to health improvement,
reducing health inequalities, raising educational attainment
and promoting social inclusion. It is a partnership between
the Primary Care Trust and the Local Education Authority
and received National accreditation in 2001.
